SMAARTR Workplace Policy

At SMAARTR, we are building a purpose-driven, people-first workplace rooted in empathy, respect, integrity, and collaboration. This policy outlines the basic principles that guide how we work together.

  

1. Our Work Culture

SMAARTR is a values-led organisation where creativity, kindness, and accountability coexist. We encourage open communication, mutual respect, and ownership in everything we do. We believe:

  • Purpose is as important as performance. 
  • Collaboration is more powerful than hierarchy
  • Integrity and empathy are non-negotiable

  •  Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behaviour of any kind. 

Any form of verbal, physical, emotional, or digital harassment will not be tolerated.

   

4. Safe & Harassment-Free Workplace

SMAARTR is committed to providing a safe working environment:

  •  Sexual harassment or misconduct is strictly prohibited
  • Concerns can be raised confidentially with the Founder or designated point of contact
  • All complaints will be handled sensitively, fairly, and promptly

   

5. Confidentiality & Data Responsibility

Team members may have access to sensitive information related to: - Artists and their work - Customers and partners - Business processes and intellectual property. Such information must be kept confidential during and after the association with SMAARTR.

   

6. Conflict of Interest

Team members should avoid situations where personal interests may conflict with SMAARTR’s interests. Any potential conflict must be disclosed to the Founder at the earliest.

   

7. Use of Brand & Assets

  • SMAARTR brand name, content, designs, and data must be used responsibly
  • External sharing or representation requires prior approval
  • Social media communication should align with SMAARTR’s values and tone

   

8. Remote & Flexible Work Ethic

SMAARTR supports flexible and remote work arrangements based on trust and accountability.

Team members are expected to: 

  • Honor commitments and timelines
  • Communicate availability clearly
  • Maintain professionalism in virtual interactions

   

9. Compliance & Ethics

All team members are expected to: 

  • Act ethically and lawfully  
  • Follow basic compliance and documentation requirements relevant to their role
  • Uphold SMAARTR’s reputation and mission at all times

   

10. Policy Acknowledgement

This policy applies to all team members, consultants, interns, and volunteers associated with SMAARTR.  SMAARTR reserves the right to update this policy as the organization evolves.
